The next years SLA will create a series of eventful urban spaces and green roof terraces that provide visitors and residents with attractive, green and recreational opportunities at Ruseløkkveien in Oslo. The new urban spaces unify the life and activities in the buildings with city life at street level in a green and eventful landscape design. The site’s unique historical context is re-established in the new urban spaces and connections across Ruseløkkveien. Green roof terraces with vegetation and material inspired by the Norwegian coastal landscapes frame the view of the city and sea. Both the green roof terraces and the terrain at street level are designed to manage rainwater and combined with a local city nature, the result is a resilient, sensuous and eventful gathering place in central Oslo, that offers cultural, social and green values in different heights.
