Oslo Medieval Park

The idea behind the new Medieval Park in central Oslo is to use the unique history of the area to create an atmospheric setting for an active urban life. With lighting and observation posts, the historic roads of the 1300s, the ruins of the monumental stone buildings and the traditional wooden houses are emphasized and brought back to life. The many open park areas and the smaller paved areas, allow both small and large events to take place, and the Medieval Park to be actively used thorughout the entire year.
